This or That Thursday - Dogs vs Cats

Hello!

I thought it would be fun to bring a new feature to the blog so I was picking my brains for new ideas and came up with this, This or That Thursday. I have lots of fun asking my followers on Twitter a question for the day so I thought this would be a fun extension of that and also means that I get to play around with pretty pictures and design lovely graphics (what could be better?!)

Hope that you will enjoy this feature. Please comment below with you response.

To kick things off here is a classic this or that.....

The Dorothy Days - Where to find me on the internet!

Hello everyone,

I have so much to update you all on that I don’t really know where to start!! Tricky getting back into blog writing but I hope it will get easier once I get back into the swing of it again.

I thought today I would update you all on where you can find me on the internet as I am now using a range of social media sites.

Please come and take a look at my different social media sites.

My pinterest page has lots of my own items and I also have a board for local Etsy sellers which is well worth taking a look at, so many inspiring local crafters and artists (I am hoping to feature some of them soon on my blog!)

On Tumblr I post lots of sneak previews of items which are about to go up in my shop and I also reblog beautiful items that I find around the internet so if you like beautiful things please come and have a look!

On Wanelo I have some of my own items and also pretty items that I love

Etsy - This is where my shop is based and where you can find all my vintage and handmade pretties!

Instagram - If you want to see what I have been up to and behind the scenes photos you can find them here. At the moment I see to be posting lots of photographs of yummy food and tea!! This is the best place to find out what I am up to, new items I am about to list and everyday things that make me smile.

Twitter- I am most active on Twitter and use this a lot :) come and say hello!

Hello everyone :) !

Anyone noticed that it has been a teeny bit quiet on my blog recently ?!?! ....... *drops a pin* .

Usually on Etsy June, July and August are quieter months. These are the months in which people are down at the beach, out of the country on holiday or out and about trying to keep the kids entertained so naturally this is a time in which lots of shops (online and also offline) are a little bit quieter. Lots of Etsy sellers use this to their advantage and use the summer as a time to craft like crazy in preparation for the Autumn and run up to Christmas. This year is my second full summer on Etsy so I decided that I would be super prepared this time as I knew what to expect and use the quiet time to my advantage and use it to do lots of craft fairs.........little did I know that summer was to be far from quiet! In fact, July was the busiest month I have ever had in my Etsy shop!!! Was such a lovely surprise and a massive thank you to all my customers. I am really grateful to you all :). This does however explain why my blog has been a bit quiet recently and is looking rather neglected!

This summer has been busy busy busy but I feel that I have been really productive and that my shop is improving in leaps and bounds and in a funny old way this has actually prepared me more for the Christmas period......a mini practice run almost!

I booked a short break to Berlin in advance and have just got back from my holiday there. It actually came at the perfect time and was a great way to relax and unwind after what has been a busy few months. It has given me the chance to rest up a bit and now I hope I will come back with renewed energy for September and ready for the Autumn :).

A little update....

Hello everyone,

How are you all? Sorry for my lack of posting, it is craft and vintage fair season so I have been rushing around preparing, packing and off to fairs! It has been hard work with lots of early mornings but I have been enjoying it. It has also given me an opportunity to meet lots of you which has been fantastic, thank you to everyone who has come to my stall and said hello :). The Dorset Team craft fair was a really great day. Such a great venue and I got to meet so many lovely local sellers and local people which was lovely :). I was really pleased with how the stall looked as I have been working hard on new displays for the stall and I was also thrilled at the end of the day when I won the raffle....not once....but twice!!! I have also been pleasantly surprised that quite a few people have come to the stall and said they are already following me on Twitter, know my shop and are reading my tweets. Thanks to everyone who has come over and introduced themselves, so nice to meet some of my Twitter followers in person and thrilled that people are recognising my shop :).

I have one of my biggest fairs of the year next week which I am very excited about and just crossing my fingers that the weather is going to stay nice as it has been so beautiful and hot recently. I am outside so I hope there is not going to be any rain!!!

As well as doing craft and vintage fairs I am of course still running the online shop and have actually been adding quite a few new items to the shop recently :). I am also running a SALE at the moment!

For this month only I am offering 10% off and a free gift with purchases over £10 (please see my shop for details)

I am also offering the biggest discount I have ever ever offered on my tea cups and at the moment I am offering a HUGE 50% off all my vintage tea cups. This means that some my vintage tea cups are as little as £7  which works out at just $10 !!! To take advantage of this discount please visit my shop, the prices you see listed are the full prices. Enter the coupon code TEACUPOFFER50 into the checkout and you will automatically get 50% off of the tea cup (or cups) that you order. Happy shopping :)
