Style Saturday - Decorating with Succulents

Decorate With Succulents

I recently took a trip to Ikea in Southampton to have a browse around with a friend and of course, a browse around Ikea always doesn't end up as 'just a browse'. I ended up bringing back some lovely scented candles, some plant pots and some beautiful plants including succulents. I love the succulents I bought and wish I had bought more....they are my kind of plant...easy to look after!

I always like having plants in the house and bringing the outdoor in. I spend a lot of time at my computer desk so it is really nice to have plants around. I particularly like the wooden plant pots on the right hand side and the hanging planters too. I wish my work space looked a little more like the space on the left hand side! I like the minimalist look but it still looks warm and cosy with the rug and cushions and the succulents add some colour to the room whilst still keeping with the neutral tones.

Hope that you like this collection

Style Saturday - Mint green nursery design

Don't Forget to Dream

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who looked at my blog post about retro themed items for the home which I put up yesterday. I hope you liked it! Today I thought I would share with you all something a little different for Style Saturday. Quite a few of my friends have recently had babies so I have been cooing over the beautiful photographs they have been uploading of their little ones. I thought today I would do a baby themed post (mainly because it is a good excuse to look at super cute baby items!). If you read my blog regularly you will know that I am a little bit obsessed with mint and so I have fallen in love with this adorable collection for a baby's nursery. The chair is beautiful and also looks comfy for those long long nights! I love the chevron lampshade and isn't that 'Don't forget to dream' bear adorable?! I find the mint colour quite a soothing, peaceful, tranquil colour so it would be perfect for a nursery!

Hope you are all having a great weekend and thanks so much for reading my blog.

I have just finished writing the blog post tomorrow and it has news of an exciting project that I have been part of and lots of beautiful pictures so please do check back tomorrow to take a look.

Polka Dot Interior Design - The Dorothy Days

Polka Dot

Hello!

If you haven't already noticed, the theme for this week's Style Saturday is polka dots! I am rather fond of polka dots and have lots of polka dot items scattered around my house as well as some polka dot jewellery. I really like the monochrome polka dots as it makes the fun pattern into something a bit more sophisticated. My favourite item from this collection has to be the box at the very top, it would be wonderful for keeping photographs and keepsakes in.

What are your thoughts on polka dots? Love them or loathe them!? Let me know in the comment section below.

Style Saturday - Bedroom inspiration

Under the Canopy
Now that the colder weather is here and the darker nights it is nice to have somewhere warm, cosy and relaxing to come back to. I really love this collection. The bed is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and would be like waking up every morning feeling like you were in a luxury hotel! The rocking chair looks super comfy for curling up and reading a book in. The trays would be perfect for being brought breakfast in bed and the candles for romantic evenings in. The whole room looks very tranquil and relaxing and would be perfect to come home to each evening.

What do you all think? Would your dream bedroom look like this?

Style Saturday - Hexagon Home

Hello everyone,

Happy Saturday! On Saturdays I post a style post with either a fashion post or a styling your home post.

Today I thought I would share with you all this collection called Hexagon Home which I love as an interior design idea. I particularly like the mix of white, grey and blue as the colour palette and the combination of minimalist and industrial with the use of concrete as a material. The little flashes of turquoise blue seem to work perfectly to add some colour splashes to this look without detracting from the clean lines and minimalist feel.

Shabby chic sitting room inspiration

Hello everyone,

Thought I would give you all a little bit of shabby chic inspiration today with this sitting room collage. Shabby Chic Living Room

I think my favourite is the chair and the framed prints on the wall as they look a little bit like the ones I sell in my shop!
