Catching up with old friends
Hello everyone
Had such a wonderful Christmas this year spent with family and then returned home to see my friend who was visiting from Canada. I have been excited for months about her visiting so was amazing to finally see her. She went away in the summer and is spending the year abroad so I won't see her now until this Summer. We spent a few days together and spent time drinking lots of tea, gin and tonics and cocktails, going for lunch, catching up on news and wandering around pretty locations near by on a little day trip. Was so much fun and the perfect way to end 2013.

Vintage Thursday - Alphonse Mucha - Art Nouveau
Hello everyone,
For the first Vintage Thursday of 2014 I thought I would share with you this Art Nouveau advert for French biscuits. Isn't it just beautiful? The advert is by Alfons Maria Mucha (also known as Alphonse Mucha) who was a Czech painter artist. He was born in 1860 and died in 1939. This lithograph is typical of Mucha's work as it depicts a beautiful female with long flowing hair and loosely draped Neo-Classical style robes/ dress.
Hope you enjoyed this advert as much I have.
