Style Saturday - Street Style Trend

Casual Street Style
Hello everyone,

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend so far. Recently I have been posting a lot of Style Saturday posts with light pastel colours so today I thought I would share with you something a little bit different.

I really like the fringe shorts. You can either buy shorts like this or up cycle some of your old jeans. Lots of my jeans are getting a bit past their best and have holes in the knees so I have been cutting them into shorts like these. The 'Mean Girl' style t-shirt is fun and could easily to swapped for another top in a similar style but still work with this outfit. I really like the big headphones, perfect for commuting or travelling around the city but most of all I love the trainers. This look would be really easy to recreate as it uses monochrome with a splash of red and each of the items could be used as part of a different outfit and made to look totally different.

Item of the Week - Retro style brooch handmade by The Dorothy Days

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. My item of the week for this week is my retro style handmade brooch. This is one of my favourite items in my shop. I individually make each brooch. The process involves sanding, printing, drying, heating, cooling and gluing. The brooch looks super cute pinned to a summer dress, a jacket or even a bag.

Winter Decor - Christmas decorations

Winter Decor: Deck the Halls

Hello everyone,

Really enjoying writing my Christmas countdown, it is really getting me excited for Christmas. I hope that you are all enjoying reading it! Today I thought I would share with you this wonderful winter themed interior which is great for inspiration for decorating your home this Christmas. For those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, I hope that there is also some interior design ideas for you for the winter season. One of the things I like about this collection is that the decorations aren't overly 'Christmassy' and they are more subtle. Not only does this add to the design element but it also means that you can keep some of decorations out for general use after the holiday period is over. I love the stars and these could certainly be kept all year round if you wished. I also love the deer pillow and again that could be something that was kept all year round if you wanted to. The Christmas tree mug is so sweet, I would love to drink my tea from that but my favourite item in this collection has to be the coffee tables. They look as if they are made from pallets with wheels attached, what a wonderful idea and great way to reuse and recycle something that often gets thrown away or chopped up.

12 days to go….!
