Last week in photographs featuring valentines day flowers, the best soap ever, banana cake and of course tea!

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week so far. I thought today I would share with you all my week last week in photographs. My week was filled with….. birthday celebrations, bowling, a trip to the sea life centre (you are never too old!), beautiful flowers, banana cake, what a fantastic week!

My beautiful beautiful flowers, aren't they stunning!? Full of some of my favourite flowers (and yes there are left over Christmas chocolates just below!)

This instantly made the week so much more fun. Soap that smells like strawberry laces?! Best thing ever!

We ate lots of really yummy cake to celebrate my sister's birthday.

We cooked up a storm in the kitchen!

….. and of course drank lots of tea!

Quote of the Week- Billy Connolly- Wear a tea cosy on your head

Hello everyone,

Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. Anyone get up to anything nice? I thought I would start the week this week with some words of wisdom from Billy Connolly........

Never trust a man, who when left alone with a tea cosy... Doesn't try it on.
Billy Connolly

I then for some strange reason got the urge to google people wearing tea cosies on their heads and found out there is a national 'Wear a tea cosy on you head' day !! How amazing is that and why didn't I know about this before?!?!

Here is a photo of David Mitchell wearing one on his head!

Hope this made you giggle as much as it did me.

Have a fantastic week

Just wanted to take this time to say thank you so much to everyone who has followed my blog this year, browsed or bought from my shop, followed me on twitter, left me lovely blog comments and tweets and to all my lovely cyber friends that I have made a long the way. You have all been fantastic!!

At the start of a new year I always like to set myself some goals to try and achieve before the year is up. I have a feeling that 2013 is going to be a good year for me so have high hopes for the year. I know 13 is unlucky for some but it was my Granny's lucky number so I am hoping 2013 is going to be a fantastic year and even if luck is not on my side I am going to do everything I can to make it wonderful!!!

Here are my goals for 2013:

  • To blog more often!!!!
  • To visit more art galleries across the U.K as seeing art up close makes me so happy.
  • To have 100 items listed in my shop
  • To reach my 100th sale on Etsy
  • Spend more days down by the seaside
  • Improve my knitting skills (I am pretty terrible at the moment!)
  • To make more things on my sewing machine as it is something I really enjoy.
  • To go on more adventures and visit new places
  • Write some more blog posts on art pieces.
  • To try some different types of tea that I haven't already tried.
  • To smile more often and to make other people smile more often.
  • Do more RAOK (random acts of kindness)
  • Go to London more often
  • Get much more organised!!!
  • Continue improve and expanding my Etsy shop. I would love to expand the range of vintage items which I sell and also make more handmade items for my shop.
  • Get involved in some more local projects and volunteer locally as it would be a lovely way of getting involved in the community and meeting some more local people.
  • Go back to Rome as it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
  • Trace my family history as I know very little about it and would love to know more and make a family tree.
  • To keep a diary

This list is by no mean finished by here are just a few!
Have you set yourself any new year goals?

Hope that 2013 is a great year for you all and thank you so much for all your support in 2012.

Best wishes

The Great Debate....

Hello everyone,
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I thought it was about time that my blog hosted *drumroll*.......... The Great Debate!

Now you may be wondering what this great debate may be about....politics?! ......no....tea of course!
via

Britain is famed for being a nation who loves a cup of tea (affectionately know as a cuppa!). Although coffee is also popular, tea is still the nation's favourite beverage with 165 million cups of tea being drank each day in Britain! So the question I am asking you this week is what is your favourite kind of tea and how do you like drinking it ?!

via

On the surface this may seem like a simple trivial question but it is in face one of huge complexity (one sugar or two!? how is best to dunk your biscuit without it falling apart ?! milk poured in first or after?!) and one which often results in the most heated debates!

So let me know..... do you go for good ol' builders tea, chai with plenty of biscuits or are you a green tea kind of person?! Do you have milky tea or just a splash?!  Heaps of sugar or couldn't think of anything worse?! and most importantly......which biscuits?!

I went through a stage of being obsessed with Chai tea and it seemed to be all I drank but I am now back to good old fashioned tea with no sugar and just a splash of milk! I have been collecting vintage tea cups for years and my own personal collection is now rather large so I now always drink my tea from a vintage teacup. It makes the tea taste so much better and makes me smile! If I am treating myself I also like to have a good supply of biscuits too!! I have a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate biscuits and also love shortbread biscuits.

Would be wonderful to hear from those of you in Britain and those of you outside of Britain as well :). Please leave a comment in the comment section and let me know where you are from and how you have your tea!
