Little update!

Hello everyone :)

Can't believe it is March already.....time has just flown by! So excited about Spring. The flowers are blooming and there are days where the weather is much milder and the sun shines! Rather exciting. I have been visiting London quite regularly which has been wonderful, I love being over there for a few days and have been visiting lots of exhibitions and art galleries. I went to the V&A last week and to the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery all of which were fantastic. This weekend I also went to the Makers Boutique in Brighton which was a craft fair for local sellers with lots of lovely jewellery, handmade cards, ceramics, art etc. If you haven't been already and live in the Brighton area it is really worth going to. There were some beautiful stalls and lots of very talented people. They even have a little tea room at the back which I stopped at with my friends and had some tea and cake!

My shop has been doing well and I have had quite a lot of orders recently (thanks so much to everyone who has ordered from me) so have been busy making new items for my shop, packaging up orders and taking lots of trips to the post office!! I am also planning on doing some craft fairs during the summer months. I managed to hit my target of getting 100 items listed which gave me a huge sense of achievement. My next goal is to reach 100 sales :). I am currently on 92 sales so am nearly there, going to be a enormous milestone for me and my shop so I am really excited. Thank you everyone who has been buying for me and supporting my little business.

New things!!!!

Hello everyone :) !

Hope that you have been having a wonderful day and that this week is a good week for you all. Today I have to admit I have been having a rather lazy day! I spent the day sitting out in the sunshine with family and friends and drinking lots of tea and then cooked an amazing Thai curry for supper :).

My lazy day today makes up for my day on Sunday, although supposed to be a day of rest I was super busy! I woke up early and decided to have a change around of the living room. You know one of those ideas which seems like a really good idea but half way through isn't?! Well I managed to break the TV aeriel and so have been without television until this evening! It took me forever to make it work again. I wouldn't normally mind as I don't really watch that much TV anyway but at the moment the Paralympics are on so I have been so annoyed that I have been missing bits. I have been reading the news and twitter to try and keep up to date and watched some clips online on the news sites but its not quite the same!

I also photographed lots of my new vintage stock which was exciting :) and have loaded some new items to my shop :). It took me the whole day but I am really pleased with the photographs and even took new photographs for some of the stock already listed as I feel the new photos show off my items much better :). I have listed about 6 new items. I thought I would show you a small selection of my new photos and listings. What do you all think ?!

This photo I am particually proud of :) The orchid was for my birthday present :)

This is one of my favourite of the new cups I have listed. The colours just make me want to smile :) ! Listed here

So far all the newly listed tea cups seem to have gone down well and I have had a few likes on facebook and quite a few views and favourites on Etsy which is always lovely :). My pink and white rose teacup has also been featured in a treasury already which is so exciting :) especially as its only been listed for 24 hours!!!

A lady called Ruth has made a beautiful tea themed treasury with some stunning items in it. She certainly has an eye for treasuries and I love every item that she has featured especially the Brighton bus tea cosy!!! Makes me feel at home :) !

Here is Ruth's beautiful treasury (thank you so much for including me!!)

My hubby and I can't resist a good cuppa, and not only is it tasty and refreshing, it also has health benefits. So I thought I'd celebrate our love of having a good old cuppa with this treasury list. Put your feet up and enjoy!

The Great Debate....

Hello everyone,
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I thought it was about time that my blog hosted *drumroll*.......... The Great Debate!

Now you may be wondering what this great debate may be about....politics?! ......no....tea of course!
via

Britain is famed for being a nation who loves a cup of tea (affectionately know as a cuppa!). Although coffee is also popular, tea is still the nation's favourite beverage with 165 million cups of tea being drank each day in Britain! So the question I am asking you this week is what is your favourite kind of tea and how do you like drinking it ?!

via

On the surface this may seem like a simple trivial question but it is in face one of huge complexity (one sugar or two!? how is best to dunk your biscuit without it falling apart ?! milk poured in first or after?!) and one which often results in the most heated debates!

So let me know..... do you go for good ol' builders tea, chai with plenty of biscuits or are you a green tea kind of person?! Do you have milky tea or just a splash?!  Heaps of sugar or couldn't think of anything worse?! and most importantly......which biscuits?!

I went through a stage of being obsessed with Chai tea and it seemed to be all I drank but I am now back to good old fashioned tea with no sugar and just a splash of milk! I have been collecting vintage tea cups for years and my own personal collection is now rather large so I now always drink my tea from a vintage teacup. It makes the tea taste so much better and makes me smile! If I am treating myself I also like to have a good supply of biscuits too!! I have a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate biscuits and also love shortbread biscuits.

Would be wonderful to hear from those of you in Britain and those of you outside of Britain as well :). Please leave a comment in the comment section and let me know where you are from and how you have your tea!
